ABOUT US

The Medal Centre has been buying, selling, and valuing British and Commonwealth medals, militaria, coins, and related collectables for over 30 years. Based in Hexham, Northumberland, our permanent shop on Hencotes is one of the most established specialist medal dealers in the North of England.

Each year we tour the country on our roadshow — visiting towns and cities across the UK to offer free, no-obligation valuations directly to the public. We have valued and purchased items from veterans, their families, private collectors, and individuals who have simply discovered something extraordinary in a drawer or loft.

We are passionate about the preservation and documentation of British military history. Every medal we purchase is researched, recorded, and where possible, kept in a collection that honours the service of the man or woman named on it. We never scrap medals.

Our specialists hold memberships with the Orders and Medals Research Society (OMRS) and the Token and Medal Society (TAMS), and we maintain close relationships with leading auction houses and institutional collections.
